The Never-Ending Saga of Graduation

So, we have a new twist in LHP's journey to actually get gradated.

Last week he tried to register, but couldn't because he had so many credits. So, he had to go and petition to be allowed to register. He found out he was approved to take his one last class, but that he couldn't do it; someone on campus would have to register him. He called her and she said she would do it when she could and would e-mail.

We got an e-mail last weekend saying she couldn't register him because he is no longer considered a student. LHP was told he couldn't take any classes this fall (the class he needs is only offered in winter), but because he didn't take classes and didn't defer (no one EVER mentioned that he would need to defer to keep his status), he has to apply to be a student again.

The most recent twist is that the registration deadline for Winter semester was October 1st. Now he has to appeal the decision that he was denied because of that deadline. We still haven't heard back. The process is supposed to take 2-3 weeks, but the guy LHP was working with said he would get it done as quickly as possible.

It feels like this labyrinth of never-ending twists and turns. I'm not really upset that all of these things are in place; I just wish people would have been clear on telling us what needed to be done so we could do it right the first time.

This makes ME feel frustrated. Come on guys help a brother out. Why do things have to be so complicated sometimes? I hope everything works out perfectly and there will be an end to the craziness very soon.
